MORE OF THE BIG SNOW

The snow is so deep (2-3') in most places....
but then again where the wind was really whipping last night it scoured
the snow right down to the ground!
Last night the wind was whipping so hard the wind chimes nearly
blew right off their limbs. The weatherman says 30-45 mph!
Whew!!!

AFTER THE BIG SNOW

AND WE DO MEAN BIG SNOW!!!
Nothing like this in twenty years according to the news.
The Halloween Snow Storm of 1991 accumulated more at 23"
but that took 3 days!
We did it in 24 hours!!!

Wanna Play?

A beautiful snowy day! We haven't had this much snow in years!!!
It is really fun watching the kids trudge through all the snow and the dogs are totally confused and worried about getting to their favorite spots. Dad has already shoveled about a foot worth and it has already filled back in!

December Blizzard

Dad started off to the mail today against all our complaining...
but he didn't get far as one can see!

December Blizzard

Welcome to Winter! Well, finally we got some snow, and snow it did!! It is only noon and we already have over a foot. The wind is creating spectacular drifts and has us completely snowed in at this point.

Notice the drifting and the depth!

Summer Stunners

This was a really good year for the flowers and my new
plantings did really well. I did add "Miracle Grow dirt for
Planters" this year and it really charged the blooms up.
Impressive, because I've never used their products before.

Upgrading the Outside

Tried to add a few red maples to jazz up the front.
The planters turned out real well this year because we had so
much lovely rain. The vegetable garden produced fairly well,
nothing to brag about though. I grabbed pole beans instead
of bush beans and I decided that they are way too much problem
to try a repeat on. And, I didn't think their flavor was all that
wonderful either, but each to his own, right!
We'll try again next year
