This has been a spectacular weekend for the foliage. Everywhere the maples are flaming and the oak are turning beautiful shades of rusty red. It was so stunning as I drove into church this morning I was inspired to turn around before I got to WalMart and drive back home, just to be able to SEE it all again. It was the combination of the morning light and still hazy morning mist from the rather humid night that we had, I suppose. Whatever it was, it was stunning!
I came very close to totally missing Sacrament today. Between the gas prices dropping to $3.05 per gallon and the scenery, I wanted a mini-roadtrip. But reason won out and I settled for a few pictures around the yard after church. Hope those of you who are "seasonally impared" will appreciate them.
