Chandler, AZ
We were put up by friends in a beautiful hotel that featured suites.
They even "registered" Bob!! He had a special tag that we hung out on the
door (like a do not disturb sign) that said "pet in room...named Bob."
When we went out for "our" walks.. we took the camera along and snapped
the pretty landscaping. The bark on these lacy-like trees was a brilliant
bright chartreuse green.
Rocks and more rocks!
To some this view would be stunning, but we only saw a forbidding terrain. Yes, it is beautiful in a strangely artistic way. The colors are very earthy and interesting. There is strangely no wildlife as you drive along. Of course, if one would step out of the car I'm sure that would be very different...lizards, birds, etc. But it so very "other worldly."
Arizona and the trip home
Hoover Dam was very interesting. Of course, from the highway that actually crosses over it... you can only see it from the resevoir (sp?) side. But it was very impressive looking.
The other shots are of the equally massive electrical conduit towers that circle the whole area...sending all that precious energy down to Las Vegas a mere 15 miles away.
Our 2008 Family Reunion
WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!!
I think everyone agreed with me, too. The kids were really good, no real disasters, no accidents, only one "mother encouraged" trip to the doctor/hospital due to an over-stuffy nose and fever.
A big THANK YOU to Josh and his wife, Kristene and their entire family for bending over backwards and making the event really memorable.
